Workshop description
This four-hour hands-on workshop is a gentle introduction to the xaringan package as a tool to create impressive presentation slides that can be deployed to the web for easy sharing.
Day 1 covers the nuts and bolts of creating presentation slides using xaringan and deploying them in HTML format for easy sharing with others.
Day 2 covers how to take your slides to the next level with the xaringanExtra package and how to customize slides with CSS.
This workshop is designed for R users already familiar with R Markdown and GitHub.
Marie Ouellet
Principal Investigator
Dr. Marie Ouellet’s research focuses on delinquent groups, including how they emerge and evolve, and how networks structure this process. She is currently leading a longitudinal study on police networks to better understand the informal structure of policing, including organizational cohesion and fragmentation within departments, and the consequences of these network structures on the diffusion of behaviors and attitudes. Ouellet’s work has been published in Criminology, Criminology & Public Policy, Journal of Research in Crime and Delinquency, and Justice Quarterly.
